Why Order Fabric Samples

A bed or headboard is a long-term purchase, and fabric reads differently on a screen than it does in your home. Ordering a small set of swatches removes the guesswork and lets you decide with confidence in the room where the furniture will live.

Screens never show colours accurately

Monitor calibration and lighting vary widely. The grey you see online may read warmer, cooler, or darker in your home. A physical swatch removes the guesswork.

Texture matters as much as colour

A photo can show colour but not the weight, weave, or feel of a fabric. Velvet, bouclé, and linen each handle differently in person. Touching the sample tells you what the photo can't.

Compare against your existing décor

Hold the swatch against your wall colour, flooring, curtains, and existing furniture in your own light. This is the most reliable way to judge how a fabric will sit in your room.

Buy with confidence

Choosing your bed or headboard is a long-term decision. Spending a few days with the swatches in your home before ordering removes the second-guessing.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many samples can I order?

You can order any combination of swatches in a single order, up to roughly 12 swatches within our Royal Mail Large Letter weight limit (around 100g including packaging). For larger comparisons, place multiple orders.

Is the £2 postage refundable if I buy a bed?

We don't currently offer a sample refund against a furniture order. The £2 covers postage and packaging only; the swatches themselves are free to keep.

How quickly do samples arrive?

Samples are dispatched within 1 to 2 working days and typically arrive within 3 to 5 working days via Royal Mail.

Can I order samples from multiple fabric collections?

Yes. The picker groups swatches by fabric family (Coniston, Crushed Velvet, Marble, Naples, Plush, Teddy Bouclé), and you can tick any combination across families in one order.

Will the colour look different in my home?

Possibly, yes. Natural daylight, room lighting, and surrounding décor all affect how a fabric reads. This is exactly why we recommend ordering samples; you will see the true colour in the environment where the bed or headboard will live.
